This collection is comprised primarily of land patents granted to the Dorsey family in Frederick County, Maryland during the 1750s.

This collection consists of documents from Frederick County, Maryland. The bulk of the collection is made up of land indentures but also included are deeds, bills of sale, mortgages, petitions, bonds, promissory notes, and recognizances for Raphael Taney, Joseph Chapline, Daniel Dulany, Matthew Bartgis, and the Lohr family.

This collection contains patents to various Fredrick and Prince Georges County properties purchased by Thomas and Nathan Maynard from 1735-1790. Also included are genealogical notes on the Maynard family, "Securities" and "Belongings" lists, 1921, of Eleanor Maynard, as well as Ms. Maynard's will, 1918.
